If you’ve never played D&D, let me explain you a certain phenomenon. Before you become an adult, your D&D sessions will often end with the surprise appearance of a monster formidable enough to overpower your whole party – whatever unfortunate grown-up is in charge of telling you to go to bed. Later in life, you might sit down to a game and think yourself free from such interruptions, but after hour 5 or so, a far more insidious monster creeps in: the physical and mental exhaustion of your no-longer-teenaged body. You’re the grown-up now. You have become that which you feared. Okay, I don’t know where this metaphor is going, my friends, but I know where I’m going and that is bed.
